A little post on one of my favorite snacks for the Holidays. It's a quick, easy and inexpensive Holiday treat that's so yummy. Every year at our bowling Christmas party everyone brings a snack to share. This recipe was from a gal I bowl with. Everybody loves those snacks, right? This one is excellent. The problem is once you start eating it, you can't quit. If you want to see a snack disappear in about 3 minutes, try this one. It's so good, so chewy and crunchy and definitely addicting..."CANDY CRACK"! You might want to double this recipe...easy, peasy!!!
You'll need one box of Corn Chex, corn syrup, brown sugar, butter and a large grocery bag. That's it!
I have made this for every Christmas for many years. You can make it even better by drizzling melted white and chocolate candy coat on top. It takes this recipe to the next level!

Ingredients:
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 stp. baking soda
- 17 oz. box Corn Chex, poured in a brown paper bag
Directions:
- Combine salt, corn syrup, brown sugar and butter in a heavy saucepan. Boil 1 - 1/2 minutes. Add 1/2 tsp. soda. Mix the soda in. The caramel sauce will foam, so be careful, this stuff is hot.
- Pour over the Chex Cereal in brown paper bag.
- Microwave 3 1/2 to 4 minutes.
- Shake bag after each minute.
- Spread on cookie sheet to cool.
- Store in covered container
Such an easy Holiday treat! I'm pretty sure it will be your go to snack for the Holidays. I love this recipe because it doesn't only make the snack crunchy, it also makes it chewy...I love that chew!
One Final Thought...
I love all these snacks, but Holiday Crack is the best! I hope everyone tries this recipe. It's so easy and so very good...and it makes a lot!
Always remember..."Life's short...eat dessert first!"...words to live by!
